Georgia Church Thief Get a Stiff Sentence

You want to steal something valuable. An entire air conditioning unit seems like a great idea. Wait. Another brilliant idea crosses your mind. Why not steal that air conditioning unit from a church?

Then you leave mail with your name and address on it at the church while committing your crime. Whew……..karma is weird.

Stupid Is As Stupid Does…….

This is exactly what Marchello Lee was sentenced for this week. Mr. Lee stole $25,000 of air conditioning equipment from Impact Worship in Cobb County, Georgia. But he forgot one thing……a piece of mail at the scene with his name and address.  In the words of Homer Simpson, “Doh!”

Cobb County Superior Court Judge Kimberly Childs sentenced him to 5 years in prison and 15 years of probation.

Moral of the Story?  Don’t be a thief. And DON’T steal from a church. Happy Sunday.
